Nothing could have prepared me for this. My heart is broken !

When we arrived, we encountered a scene I’ll never forget. All the skin on his back had been brutally ripped off, exposing muscles and bones—a wound so horrific it seemed impossible he was still breathing.

We sedated him immediately and urgently took him to a nearby hospital, where he received emergency treatment to keep him alive. He is severely dehydrated, suffering from acute anemia, a terrible infection, and his wounds were crawling with maggots.
