Nine Years of Love, One Infection Could End It All

Nancy is a true Doberman—loyal, alert, strong, and full of life. When we rescued her, she was paralyzed, emaciated, and barely clinging to life. Thanks to surgery by the late Dr. Sergio Ródenas and months of rehabilitation, she stood up and walked again. For years, she ran, played, and thrived. Even as age took its toll, she never gave up.
But Now, She’s Fighting Again
Two weeks ago, we noticed severe inflammation in one of her nipples. It wasn’t a tumor, but it wouldn’t heal. We had no choice but to remove it.
The surgery went well, but soon after, a severe infection set in. Despite hospital visits and strong antibiotics, the infection has worsened. We are now battling a multi-resistant bacteria—and we are running out of time.
